Just thought I'd do a quick post about this hat I made for my boy Mr Leafy (as his sister calls him). If you are like me, and can do only basic stitch and can't read a knitting pattern (I think this side of my brain is defunct/missing?) and fancy knitting something other than a scarf...then this is for you!
Basically it is just a rectangle which is sewn together on one side. Add a pom pom and some ties (these are made with three lengths of wool threaded through the corners of the hat and then plaited).
I used quite chunky wool on size 8.0mm needles. 40 stitches x 17 rows (I think!)...you can tell I don't knit eh. My boy is 8 months old for reference ; )
Ahh so cute.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are all recovered now and fighting fit to enjoy another year in your beautiful house and surroundings. I so love your style...everything you do seems very graceful , simple and elegant to me. Nothing overdone. It seems incredible that Pehr is 4 and that you have been in your house for 3 years. ( my own grandson is nearly 2. Eeek!)
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting and best wishes for a happy Christmas.
So adorable.....Mr. Leafy ánd the hat! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, wow - that's some serious cuteness going on there! Great idea on the hat!
