20 September 2015

Ah September...blackberries, random hot days, apple crumble, acorns and...
crane-flies, omg I hate crane-flies. But, so far so good this month. We have had some very dramatic weather, and whilst our business starts to wind down after the summer months, hopefully we'll get to spend a little more time together. We have spent a lot of time in London (which our littlun LOVES) rushing to get orders finished and dispatched. New jewellery designs spinning about in my head but evaporating before I get the chance to make them. Conversations with our tot that make me realise she is the deepest and most sensitive person I know (and she is only two!). Feeling like I didn't get enough of summer, and now I have to wait a whole year for it again! BUT, I am already thinking about xmas.
...and there is this happening outside...

I really need to get my act together and pick up camera a bit more (I stole these pics from my mister's camera!)...also my shed has been taken over by one massive hairy spider that has made a home in my trimmings draw. I really need to evict it and get sewing again now that I have a bit more time.

I hope you are all enjoying the beginning of autumn?

  1. Artemis! I have missed your posts so much, I know you are busy but what about us? ;) Lovely pics as per usual. I'm in New Zealand so we are coming into spring with flowers starting to bloom, and gorgeous sunny days followed by days of storms and hail. Thanks for posting, you are cool :)

  5. oh my, what a beautiful collection of photos, how wonderful it will be for Pehr to look back over all your blogs when she is older and revisit her childhood

  6. Love Compton Bay, the RNLI boots (my son chose to do a school project on the RNLI after going on the Yarmouth lifeboat) and ALL your photos. We used to have the best holidays staying at Rose Cottage at Mottistone when my babies were aged from 4 months to about 15 years. Isn't it lovely when you can have proper chats, I miss that on a daily basis.

  7. I can completely relate to that hairy spider situation!! We have too many of them in our root cellar where I plan to store fruit and veggies for winter. Mustering up the courage ...

  8. Must share this, some time ago I was browsing your blog (all the gorgeous dreamy pictures that we can always find here!) and my mother who passed by me stopped and asked me "where did you get those old pictures?". I said "what?", she replied "that's you or your sister, no?" pointing to Pehr :) I said, "It's not me, MOTHER, it's a blog I follow!". The truth is, although I wanted to be upset since my mother didn't seemed to distinguish between her own child and other children, I look at some of Pehr's pictures and it really looks like me in some of my old pictures. There is no need to say that I find her the cutest thing :)!
