.
Yes you guessed it! {well, I bet some of you guessed it?} this is our mystery Italian I was going on about. Its a 1972 Fiat 500L, and it has just come to the uk from Turin where it has been restored. We thought she'd make a nice lady friend for Lewes, what you reckon? I know we are bonkers, we now have three cars! Which I still can't quite believe myself, as we live in possibly the cheapest flat in South London.

As I'm sure you know, this car is absolutely minute, {in fact it makes me look really tall which is a bonus}. So its just for going around town in, y'know 'pottering about'. However we collected it today from South West London and it was bloody freezing, snowing in fact! and this car is designed for a warmer climate. Anyhow, we stopped by our favourite Petersham nurseries for lunch, and took some quick photos. I'll take some better ones later, as we have a few extra shiny things to add to it to emphasise its looks!

  6. We had one just like this as the family car when I was a small child. I can remember Mum, Dad, my sister and I, plus the dog and our luggage, travelling down in it to Cornwall, from Sussex, for our holidays. Talk about luxury!

She'll make a great companion for Lewes.....and you too! Enjoy!

  26. Oh how I love these little cars...if I was going to get another car I would have either one of these or a beetle to go with our campervan but my OH will not let me get rid of my modern car so we too would have three cars and I cannot go there...where to keep them all :))

I've wanted a cinquecento for years!

How do you find driving a lefty?

It's like a wee squashed Porsche with it's rear engine.

Have you been to the Palm Centre just beside Petersham Nursery? They have a lama, as well as some amazing plants.
