Horniman Museum & Chelsea Physic Garden

30 June 2013

Its been pretty busy over at our place lately. A few life changes are afoot, so we are busy rearranging our studio and having a big sale *see previous post*. Thats left us a bit exhausted, but we have managed to get out and about a bit when we can. We visited the Horniman Museum, which is local to us and a regular place to have lunch, I love the shop! Our little'un liked the stuffed apes, which are a bit spooky...but educational of course ; )

We also went over the river to Chelsea Physic Gardens, which I have been to a couple of times before. Its very old garden which grew (and still does) medicinal and cosmetic plants. This is a great place to go if you want some inspiration for your own garden, as its quite small but perfectly formed! I love the way they use natural twigs and branches to create the structural base for plants. Something I would love to do if I had a garden of my own.
We had a lovely lunch there, it was rather pricey, but its not like we go there everyday.

I hear theres a mini heat wave coming to Blighty, 24 degrees...wooooooo! exotic.

Gorgeous pictures. We're off to Toronto's Kensington Market today for pedestrian Sunday. Hoping to get some good photos! :)

  3. Looks like a fun day indeed. I love natural history, but am a bit freaked out by the teeth on that little beastie.
