winter season at RUST Jewellery

4 November 2017

If you follow me on instagram then you'll probably have seen this all before, however it's nice to see year on year, how we've decorated the shop each winter time on my blog too.
I'm a sucker for that snowy cosy feeling and xmas decorations get me so excited! But, I try to keep a lid on my nostalgia a little bit so as not too over take the jewellery to much.

As we don't really have a baby sitter on hand, we always do shop re-arranging as a whole family whilst the shop is shut. This usually means take-away for dinner, curry or fish n chips. It's sort of a tradition now. P loves to help but it can often mean it will take us three times longer.

Quite similar to previous years, we love our logs which are the perfect height. I sprayed the windows with a load of fake snow to give a frosty effect and threw a lot of fake snow flakes on as well just in case.

I really enjoy making and finding little things for our shop at xmas time because not everyone can afford expensive jewellery and it's sometimes nice to buy something small. I make candles, cards, xmas stockings, note books and packaged up lovely old antique prints!

These are 1920s french seed envelopes which are useful for something me thinks.

I found these vintage pots in the market and finally got around to making candles in them. They are made with 100% natural non-toxic ingredients.

you can never have enough notebooks right? These come with a nice wooden pencil too!

We will be having a few more accessories to add soon too, we already have leather goods and beautiful cotton and wax canvas aprons with copper and leather rivets.

I will update any new things before the xmas season too, as I'm hoping to have time to work on my new collection.

If you can't make it to our shop on the Isle of Wight, then you can always come and visit us online instead!

Thanks for taking a little tour of our shop! x
