some of london

1 May 2017

A couple of weeks back (because I have become a little behind on my blog) we had another family trip up to London for a few days. As always, it was difficult at times with the littles, to get work done and to enjoy ourselves at the same time...but we do always enjoy getting of the Island just for a short while, and the littluns LOVE it!

We stopped by at Ardingly Antiques market, which is great for a nice day out. It was sunny but freezing cold and we didn't bring our coats with us!

We took the kiddies to Greenwich to see the Cutty Sark. It is a wonder what they have done with it, really impressive!

We took a river boat down the Thames which you can just use your oyster card to pay, so it's like any other TFL vehicle! It was a lot faster than I imagined, a great way to commute to work.

We always go to Spitalfields market when we are all in London too, and it's great to catch up with some of our friends there, like Karen and Enamelama.

We found a few new-to-us shops too, like Eastern Biological on Hackney Road...

I loved EVERYTHING in here!

...and a quick peruse of Broadway Market before dinner at the Italian.

I always come back from London with my head buzzing with ideas, so I feel very lucky to have the best of both worlds, darting between an island and a capital city. I think I definitely need both to exist!

  1. That was a lovely tour to have from here in New Zealand. Super photos and quite an effort with two little ones. Your shop looks beautiful_ so did the oysters!.

  2. Thanks for that impressions! I have been to London when I was 14 years old (now I'm 29) for a school exchange and it was the most impressive time I experienced.
    Greetings from East Germany!
