cousins

27 April 2014

Liberty 's do different patterns for their fabrics every season, and this season's new designs happen to be based on an Isle of Wight theme. All the local sights are featured within the pattern, it's pretty strange to see the hut outside a pub where I used to sell surf clothes, illustrated on fabric! Anyhows, what with my niece turning two, I thought it would be nice if the two cousins could have matching I.O.W dresses, so I tried my bestest to make some.

Our nipper has the blue dress if you hadn't already guessed.
Well, I will keep it short and sweet and say goodnight peoples!

p.s. fiddlin with my layout...it might look weird for a bit ; )

  9. Lovely fabric and beautiful dresses, I am jealous of your sewing skills. Would love a post on how you learnt to sew. I am off to look on Libertys website now as I fancy a beach bag in that blue pattern.

  12. I don't know why, because I don't even have a kiddo, but I keep thinking about these dresses and patterns and coming back to look at the photos. I think it's amazing that Liberty's came out with a pattern from your very own hometown, how fun! So which illustration is the hut that you sold surf clothes from? :0)
