spitalfields market

11 November 2012

Our first day at the market with the Bub! Its been so nice to do a few normal things after such a whirlwind of all things baby related. Looking after our daughter is hard work but work which is the most worthwhile thing I've ever done. She is so funny, after all the tears and tantrums, you just look at her little face and all is forgiven ; ) ...

we said hello to Jo, who's stall is my absolute favourite! She had a funny old clockwork seal, which I couldn't resist for my collection.

I found a couple of other bits and bobs, nuffin much.

with Pehr in the carrier and two jumpers over us both, I just look heavily preggo again, ...not the chic mamma I aspired to...oh well.

my clockwork seal, aaaahh....

by the way, I made her that hat the other day, but i think I have already lost it somewhere!

post market refreshments all-round...

I'm liking our new life!

p.s. Hubs took most of these photos, he's a gem x

  1. I cant believe you made a hat for her in the first few weeks?! You're a superwoman. But I'm sorry you lost it! London is surprisingly kind to new mum's, i've found.

  3. Glad you're loving your new life with a baby. You can pretty much fit them into your old life, but obviously with a few minor adjustments... (nappy changing stops etc.). But they're very adaptable little things. :)

  4. I love all the photos, but especially the last one - where you are both taking refreshment! I was an older mum and fed my babes whenever and wherever they needed feeding, but like you I did it discreetly. I can't be doing with all those mums who like to get boobs and nipples out for all to see - there's really no need.
    Enjoy little Pehr. xx

  18. Nice to see you easing back into life, mixing old routines with new. Children add complexity to things, but it's the best kind of complexity, isn't it? BTW, your glow and serenity make up for any ounce of chic that has been abandoned (temporarily, I assure). You and the baby look wonderful!

You are the cutest mama! And it's good to get them trained early for the flea markets (never mind that she slept the whole time). She can help you find nice things when she can actually walk ;)
