market lately...

.
I went to Ardingly market this week with husbando, not that we have ANY more room for such junk, but it just makes for a nice day out. We've been collecting a few bits and bobs for the kiddo too, in previous markets and we are building up quite a collection now.

I really loved all the collections of things...like these push-along toy things...

only in Blighty would you find someone selling deck chairs and sledges : )

definitely don't need one of these this summer...

These mugs are a bit too grubby to drink out of, but what else could the be? Maybe for planting herbs in? Lampshades? for paint brushes and pencils? now I think I should have bought them...

I loved these folding geese...

and one of the things we found...

a tiny chair for a tiny bum!

  8. Love the chair! Only in Blighty can you buy a sledge and a deckchair from the same person because only in Blighty could you probably use a sledge and a deckchair on the same day!

your blog is really adorable :-)
so is the tiny chair :-) unfortunately "stolz der deutschen frau" written in that font reminds me (and every german) very much of nazi-germany: one would never use or display something like that in a curtain today... warm regards from germany and all the best for your family k

  12. Thanks Anonymous!

Just as well I cant read it then!
I thought it was something sexist, like 'a womans place is in the kitchen' or some such nonsense!

Its so pretty though, might make something similar one day. x

  20. "stolz der deutschen frau" means the proud of the german women but implied "the very proud of (and only) a german women" which is like a toal nazi slogan. the stitches look pretty but this special one is - from my point of view - very special in a very negative dimension. totally besides that, i really like your blog and i am always happy to read a new posting. and i am an aunt in future - my nephew will be born in december :o) happy me that you post all your great ideas for your kiddo - thanks for that - billi
