peckham revisited

.
 brekkie.

...then a stroll to find a pub or cafe!

catching some rays.

looking like a prat on the public byways.

we found ourselves at our old local caf, down in deepest Peckhamshire...

perusing their new menu {a lot had changed}

waiting for our food stuffs.

wowsers! I had roasted veggies with hallumi cheese...heavenly. Nao had good old, mackerel pate.

ahhh British condiments.

we sat and though about how much all the houses across the road must cost...£600k? we cannot afford to live in Peckham...can you believe it!

a sunny {but freezing} walk back to our hovel.

the glories of peckham...

  1. I love stalking the property sites and have a secret crush on living in Peckham... but for now St.reatham will have to do! Good luck with your search... it always comes good in the end.

  3. What areas are you looking in artemis? We're moving to London in a month or two, and are looking (to rent) around your neck of the woods, or Forest Hill...looking at the Blackheath area too...any advice if you get a spare minute??? Obviously, we're a family of four, so family friendly areas are priority. We spent some time in dulwich/forest hill the other week and had a coffee in the horniman museum and thought it seemed very pleasant. Hard to decide where to live based on one visit and one coffee though! Good luck with your search and a belated Happy New Year!

  9. I just discovered you blog & loved it. I'm an interior designer from Melbourne, Australia & I found it very inspiring. Blogging is all new to me but I have just set up my own blog
    scrapbook-melissah.blogspot.com
You may like to check it out because I had so much fun doing it. It's got a bit of everything fashion, interiors, food, travel spots - hopefully you will find something in there that you like.
Thanks for providing me with such great entertainment!
    Cheers

  10. Real estate is ridiculous in Australia as well, I can't believe how expensive some homes are.

Britain is enjoying some blue skies finally, good to see :)

  14. Blimey, what a small world... we left Peckham about 15 years ago to go live in Ventnor, IOW. A serious case of itchy feet-itus now finds us in New Zealand but seeing some of those photo's actually makes me a little homesick!
    I can't believe I'm pining for Peckham...
    (p.s. beautiful blog)

  18. I had my first visit to Petitou not so long ago (http://www.afternoonteatotal.com/2010/10/no-fools-or-horses.html) and really loved it - their cakes are totally amazing. In fact my friend and I even sat at the table as you and Nao. Strange blogging circles...

Think you might need to look in the Queens Road area now if you want a house. It's up and coming and on the East London line now.
