obi bag.

yesterday, i made this bag from an old obi {the length of fabric that goes around your middle when wearing a kimono} that i found in an antiques shop in Kyoto. I think the fabric is old maybe 1920s? I have quite enough for about six other bags! It was so lovely in Kyoto, you can see some photos from our trip here, if you didn't see them already that is.

{by the way, that shrivelled up Acer is in our garden not in Japan!}

  3. Pretty pretty (both the bag and the leaf). Loving all things Japanese at the moment as M has just gone out there for the year, wishing I was there too!
