This is the 4 x 6ft shed, a present from my Mum, built by my brothers, and decorated by Moi!
You can see the early stages in this post here.

so now I can get on and weave and sew to my hearts delight! {I might squeeze in a few well deserved naps in here to}. I say 'ours' referring to Nao, but he's not that much into sewing or weaving, so maybe he won't want to use it much ; ) he's Japanese and just likes books and baths.
I have added many more photos onto a flikr album (I got a bit carried away with the ol'camera!).

Your shed is just gorgeous, something I would love to do with mine. I had one question - is it water tight in winter or do you have to remove everything? The stuff in mine went moldy over the winter.
ReplyDeletewow i love it! so creative!
ReplyDeleteIt's a tardis!
ReplyDeleteI love it, do you serve tea and cake in it?
Madeleine
Ahh thank you soooo much for all your lovely comments, I'm quite over whelmed!
ReplyDeletejust to answer a few questions...
Quest Twenty Eight:
I only had the shed a couple of weeks so far, but seems to be wind proof!
Nicola:
Yes it is very water tight, my Mum bought quite an expensive one so it is much better quality than one a third of the price. Its properly treated and doesn't have any gaps in the wood work. I guess during the winter I will need to air it a few times if not using it.
Madeleine:
Yes I will be serving tea & cake in the shed shortly! You never know, there might even be the odd bottle of Cava tucked in there somewhere too!
and, hello to the new followers, I'm working my way through the list visiting all your blogs...so nice to meet you all!
Thanks! XXX

Oh I'd love a shed like that! I hope there's a lock on the inside so you can lock yourself away from the outside world. Perhaps a small fridge & pantry will need to be worked into the design?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, 'a room of one's own'
ReplyDeletecongrats and enjoy.
Its amazing how big it looks inside! You have done an amazing job on it - gorgeous!!!!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I LOVE your space!!! (I have space envy lol!)

ReplyDeleteThat is such a lovely shed, will have to show it to my Hubby when he gets home from work! And drop some rather big hints....
ReplyDeletethanks for showing us around your shed:) i love it and your 'compact and bijou' flat. it reminded me how creative one gets when working in small spaces. i once lived in the 'official' smallest house in somerset when living in england. i loved it, so cute. when friends asked where the loo was i loved to say "go upstairs, along the first landing, through the the next and take the fourt door on the right......hehehe, it was out the back!!!! i now live in australia and space is one thing i'm not in short supply of, but give me character over space anyday. have a fab day, so glad i found your blog, when i read your posts it'll bring a little bit of 'home' to my life :)
ReplyDeleteWow, amazing - just like the one in my head!! Now the only problem I have with sheds is the spiders... no matter how tidy and clean they are the blighters always get in.... hope you've plugged every hole! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's an exquisite jewel. Ta so much for sharing the pics...it's brightened up my day and inspired me to make more use of the small space that I have to 'play'. Love.
