Well I feel like I've been extra busy lately.
I have just finished my online vintage shop, it's called The Bucket Tree! I'll be putting many more delights on there if you are interested, keep an eye on it!
Also, I got tagged! By the lovely Zoe at Conversation Pieces. What a suprise! I've never done this kind of interview thingy before so maybe I haven't got any interesting things to say!
Well here goes...
Here are the rules:
1. respond and rework; answer the questions on your blog, replace one question that you dislike with a question of your invention, add one more question of your own.
2. tag eight other people.
And here are my answers:
What is your current obsession?
Weaving! My boyfriend and I found a little loom in an antiques market and I was so intrigued by it, I had to get it working and make something…since then I never get bored of creating fabric, it just like magic to me!
What is your weirdest obsession?
Throwing snails over the garden wall, in my pyjamas.
Coffee or tea? I love tea so much I choose hotels on the basis they have a kettle in the room. Coffee? Nah! it makes me need the toilet suddenly.
What’s for dinner? My other half is Japanese, so I’m hoping it’s his Fried noodles! But more likely I have to cook something as it’s my turn. Eeek!
What would you eat for your last meal? That’s a morbid question I don’t want to answer…I don’t think I’d be thinking about food!
What was the last thing you bought?
A skirt from Primark! They sometimes come up trumps with their designs and fabrics.
What are you listening to right now?
my cat purring.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Minghella’s Black Cherries with Kirsch! I’m a bit bias about Ice cream… Minghella is a
Isle of Wight company (where I’m from) owned by the family of Anthony Minghella. Their Ice Cream is worth a trip to the Island on its own!
What do you think of the person(s) who tagged you? I think Zoe from Conversation Pieces , is a charming, beautiful and amiable young lady with a fantastic sense of style (also she tagged me so that must be true!).
If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?
There is a tiny uninhabited Island just off the coast of Crete where the sand is made of tiny white shells and sacred donkey are taken to retire…an hour there should sort me out!
Which language do you want to learn? It’s hard to explain unless you have experienced it, but when you boyfriend/partner speaks a language that you don’t understand, it’s quite disconcerting…like a secret code! So maybe it’s not so much want, I NEED to learn Japanese, by October!
What’s your favorite quote (for now)?
What is your favorite colour?
What is your favorite piece of clothing in your own wardrobe? A cardigan knitted by my late Grandma…I will love it for ever!
What is your dream job?
Well, I know it sounds negative, but I think nothing is a dream if it has the word ‘job’ in the title. Having said that, I design jewellery with my Boyfriend for a living so I’d say that’s as good as it gets!
What is your worst habit?
Eating cold baked beans out of the tin.
If you had £100 now, what would you spend it on?
100 things from the market!
Do you admire any one’s style?
My cat…she walks like a cool 1950s detective and she has an air of sophistication that I will never achieve!
Describe your personal style?
What are you going to do after this?
Make a cup of tea.
What are your favorite movies?
I love all the Ghibli films, and most films set a hundred years ago.
What is your favorite fruit?
Grapes! I love the sensation when you first crunch them and they pop in your mouth and all the juice squirts out…
What inspires you?
Everything! I’m always open to inspiration.
Your favorite book?
I don’t really read much I’m ashamed to say, but I never get tired of looking at an atlas.
Do you collect something?
Too many things! I have been collecting 1930s dresses for quite a while, but I never have opportunity to wear them. I also love Kimonos so I have got quite a lovely collection of those too!
What is your favorite smell?
The smell of sheep’s wool straight from the cone when I’m weaving!
What are you most proud of?
I’m proud of myself that I always keep doing things, I’m proud of Nao because he’s so brave about business, and I’m proud of my cat because…she puts up with us irritating humans!
How many times do you press the snooze button before you get up?
I don’t have a snooze button, I have a Nao.
Cats or dogs?
Er CATS! Dogs are nice but all that panting, drooling and yapping…and poo, oh dear!
Countryside or City? Both in equal doses!
What was the first record you bought? Madonna - Holiday! (I was very young!!!)
